Pier Park

Pier Park, located on the Gulf of Mexico, is a main tourist attraction for passive and active recreation and entertainment with over a million visitors a year. The park has become a family favorite destination with its exciting atmosphere, open programmable spaces, beautiful new lake that is utilized as a retention basin and drains the park, as well as the farmers markets along with concerts in the park.

Pier Park was constructed in phases with the great lawn and gardens, the public restrooms, the orchard, amphitheater pavilion, playful, artful sculptural pieces and land forms, and the initial leg of the grand promenade being constructed first. As the lead designer, the vision and design standard for the park were set and the implementation of the park was done in collaboration with PBSJ, as the Landscape Architect of record in Panama City Beach.
